Initial Consultation, 90 minute visit
During this visit, we will talk about where you are now with eating, where you have been, and where you want to go. I gather a lot of information at this visit to help me understand who you are as an eater, what your struggles are, and how I can help you reach your goals the most effectively. You will leave this visit with an idea of how we will work together to help you reach your long term goals. Oftentimes people say that they feel relieved to have come and are so happy that they talked about food in a new way. |
Follow Up, 45 minute visit
These are the visits where the work happens. They may be spent meal planning, learning about how you can become more of an intuitive eater, learning how to handle a medical condition with food and exercise, body image work, hunger work and more. There is no set plan or order that topics are worked on in these visits. It is directed by your experiences and what thoughts and feelings you are having about food and eating that particular week. The follow ups are coaching sessions. I teach you to make health changes from a place of self-compassion. I recommend that follow ups are weekly initially to see the most success. Weekly follow ups help you stay more focused and connected to the work we are doing. As you progress, follow ups are spread out to biweekly, monthly and as needed. |
