Jacquelyn A. Stern, R.D., L.D. is a registered dietitian and clinical nutritionist with over 20 years experience. She has a private practice in Annapolis, Maryland where she provides nutritional counseling to both adults and children. She is fluent in Spanish.
Jacquelyn started her career as a Registered Dietitian and personal trainer at Total Health Concepts in Virginia, where she counseled patients on cardiovascular risk factors, diabetes, and eating disorders. She worked for five years as the nutrition education and breastfeeding promotion coordinator for the MD WIC program in Montgomery County. Over the last fifteen years her practice has focused on one on one counseling with clients. She worked for several years at Digestive Disorders Associates and Annapolis Internal Medicine in Annapolis. She has developed a niche in helping people make long term changes.
Jacquelyn completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her studies, she completed a coordinated undergraduate program where she interned at hospitals and community organizations. Jacquelyn is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Maryland Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has written nutrition columns for The Capital, presented lectures on nutrition and in 1997 she received the State of Maryland Award for developing and providing the highest quality nutrition program in Maryland. More recently, she has earned the award of Best Nutritionist in What’s Up? Annapolis magazine for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016.
